Why Illustrator?

Illustrator is by far my favorite tool to use when it comes to creating graphics. One of the many benefits of using Illustrator is the vector aspect. When using Photoshop, you're working with raster images. Raster are those tiny dots that make your image look blury when you zoom up on it. When it comes to logo and graphic elements that need to be large on the web or in print – Illustrator is your go to tool.

So why listen to me anyways?

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication emphasis in Graphic Design and a minor in Photography. I have over 4 years of experience using this program and learning all of the beneficial aspects of this tool. I use Illustrator about 90% of the time when it comes to creating graphics for clients and even for my own content. I use Illustrator to design logos, brand style guides, blog graphics, additional elements when it comes to blogs, patterns, business cards, printables, presentations, social media graphics, and so much more!

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can’t I just download Illustrator and watch instructional videos on YouTube?

You can definitely do that! But one of the biggest advantages of purchasing this course is that all of the information is compiled for you in an easy, step-by-step format.

And chances are if you’re brand new to Illustrator, you don’t even know what to search for on YouTube or where to start. I’ve taken all the research and organization out of the equation for you; all you have to do is press play.

I don’t have time to learn the ins and outs of design software!

“If you think good design is expensive, you should look at the cost of bad design.” - Dr. Ralf Speth

First impressions are crucial, especially for budding new businesses. If you aren’t putting the time into making a positive, professional first impression through your brand and your visuals, you could be putting your business at a huge disadvantage.

Adobe Illustrator seems a little overwhelming…

I hear you! Opening up Adobe Illustrator for the first time and looking at the tool panels can be totally overwhelming. Which is why I developed this course. With my 4+ years of experience using Adobe Illustrator, I’ll be breaking it down for you and walking you through the tools and functionalities that will be the most helpful for your creative business.

After this course, you’ll no longer be intimidated or overwhelmed by Adobe Illustrator.

Are you affiliated with Adobe? Are they paying you for this?

Nope (although if anyone from Adobe is reading this, I wouldn’t say no to a collaboration...). I offer this course because I’ve witnessed firsthand just how helpful Illustrator is for those in the creative industry.

What are the purchasing options for Adobe Illustrator?

Adobe Illustrator is available through a monthly subscription of Adobe Creative Cloud, I highly recommend this option because it's affordable and you'll always get the most up to date software that's out there. You have the option to purchase the single app or bundle it with other Adobe programs like Photoshop, InDesign, and Lightroom, download it to your computer, and receive the newest software updates as they’re made available.

Can I get a refund if I don’t like the course?

No, and here’s why. I’ve given you an in-depth look at everything included in the course, but there’s work required on your end, too. As with any new skill, it takes time and practice to feel comfortable using Adobe Illustrator. There’s no such thing as a “pen-tool natural” - you have to put in the work.

If you want to learn the basics and fundamentals of Adobe Illustrator, this course is perfect for you. However, you have to be willing to put in the time and practice the skills you’ll learn.
