Barn House Tour: Before & After
I know I’ve mentioned it a couple of times in the past, but it’s been awhile since I’ve talked about it so I thought I would show you instead! My husband and I are renting a space above a working barn, meaning we literally live in a barn. This lifestyle isn’t for everyone but we absolutely love it. We wouldn’t trade it for the world. When we first moved in, the house was livable but needed a lot of improvements. Luckily, I have a eye for interior design and I have a husband that knows how to make my ideas become reality. There are a couple of places that we’re still working on but for the most part, we’ve finished up the space. We’re so happy with how it turned out – plus we only put about $6,000 into it! We were able to salvage materials from construction sites that helped us save thousands of dollars!
This little nook is going to turn into our laundry and linen closet!
We stained the plywood floors to match our kitchen countertops. So happy with how it turned out!
Check out that color! That was one of the biggest things that needed to go for me. Trying to put my makeup on in that room was awful because everything looked blue!
This is what our cabinets looked like before we painted them. I'm so happy with how the gray turned out!
This was a super fun process - but also exhausting! Notice the lights – we installed LED can lights that completely changed the look of the house, worth every penny!
Wren is our super sweet neighbor dog. We dog sit her and her brother every now and then. She was obviously being a great superintendent here!
