DIY: Mosquito Repelent
I don’t know about you, but I get eaten alive during these summer months. Especially with monsoon season here, it just brings out those pesky mosquitos that I absolutely loathe! I have to go inside during dusk because I’ll end up with 4 or more bites that itch and drive me crazy for the next 2 weeks. I know I’m not alone. Especially all of you who are in the south or northeast – bless your souls because you’re a special kind of people.
After getting absolutely fed up with those bugs, I decided that I need to make a mosquito repellent that I could put out on the porch to deter mosquitos so I could enjoy the great outdoors again!
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 mason jar
1-2 lime wedges
1-2 lemon wedges
A couple sprigs of rosemary
9-10 drops lemon eucalyptus oil
1 Floating tea candles
Put the lime, lemon, and rosemary in the mason jar. Add water to fill the jar leaving enough room at the top to put the candle in. Then drop your lemon eucalyptus oil and stir a bit. Place the candle on top and light it.
Enjoy the great outdoors once again!
