Favorite Things: May 2017
Well, this May has been quite the whirlwind. My hubby graduated, celebrated his 25th birthday (woot for not getting dinged for renting a car under 25 again!), signed a full time contract with his company, and we had the whole family in town to celebrate. It was quite the blast. I’m so happy and thrilled and proud of my hubby for graduating and finally getting out of school. After 7 years, that can really get you down. But, he muscled his way through it with determination and poise (ha! Mostly whining and complaining – but I love him the same nonetheless).
May has been a busy month so, this month all my favorite things consisted of those precious moments that I had to breathe and relax.
Here’s to May’s favorite things!
I’ve been loving this book. I mean I can not put it down. As you all know, I’m an avid reader – because I’m a grandma on the inside. So, this book coupled with this pair of PJ’s from Target have been my jam.
Target has its highs and lows when it comes to fashion, for me anyways. I haven’t found any PJ’s at Target for a couple years. But this year, they knocked it out of the park. I’m absolutely in love with this set!
Ok, now that I’ve covered the whole relaxing and reading aspect of this super busy month – let’s talk beauty treatments for this poor face of mine. When i’m stressed, you can see it on the blemishes on my skin. Which sucks! So, to help my face heal from this all, I’ve been using Lush facemask that’s been a miracle worker.
Ok, I’m about to go on a Lush overload right now, but when I think of relaxation – I think Lush. So, hold onto your hats folks.
Along the lines of beauty relaxation – baths are my jam. Why? Because I get to sit in the bath, watch Gilmore Girls, and eat a Cinnabon. This legit happened this weekend. Best weekend ever. Anyways, I threw in a Lush bath bomb (because they’re my favorite) and enjoyed my perfect bath!
Now, I don’t know if you’ve ever been in a Lush store (I highly recommend – just watch that budget!) but a lot of their products smell really earthy – which sometimes is fantastic, and sometimes it’s not. When I smelled this face and body cleanser – I just about ate it. It smells delicious! Perfect for that relaxing and soothing bath.
Last thing that I’m swooning over for this month is this Lush Massage Bar! It smells like cocoa heaven with a hit of chocolate and warm sun. I love the way it hydrates my dry stressed out skin after I get out of the bath.
Ok, that’s all that I’m going to say about Lush for now. If you’re looking for more cost effective methods of relaxing, I recommend this blog post!
Well, that wraps it up for May! This has been one amazing and hectic month for us and I’m glad it’s over. Let the summer begin!
