The Journey to Pay Off $171K in Student Loan Debt
Yea, take a double look at that number. Does it give you a panic attack like it gives me? Because, that’s an overwhelming number. That’s a comfortable house, a really nice car, or both!
I want to document the process of paying off $171K in student loan debt for several reasons.
I want to be able to see the progress of paying down the debt, because when you’re in the thick of it – it’s hard to stay encouraged. But, by looking back at previous blog posts – I’m hoping that we’ll be able to stay encouraged (feel free to send us notes of encouragement too! We’ll need it!)
I want to be able to look back and say, it took X amount of years – but we finally did it!
In hopes to encourage all of those who are in the same boat as us. I want to build a tribe of people who are hungry to get that debt off of our shoulders. Maybe by showing you the tools we used, it might help you too!
So, do you want to know how my husband and I got into so much trouble? Let me tell you. It’s all student loan debt and accumulating interest. With interest rates of 6.8% or more. Things add up pretty quickly.
Through this blog, I’m going to show you the journey of saving money and what we’re doing to pay off all of our debts.
